BBC Glastonbury

For the 11th year running SES were approached by the BBC to provide production offices and studio units to cover the BBC broadcast of Glastonbury.

Eight of our hire fleet were sent down to the Glastonbury site where the BBC team fitted the SES trailers with their extensive production equipment.

The fleet hired included broadband vehicles and provided access to satellite uplinks allowing live televised broadcasting across the nation, over the five days the event took place.

SES were able to use their in-house operational team to oversee the management and scheduling of the trailers. Professional and experienced crew operated all aspects, including transportation, set-up and de-rig, establishing power, as well as being on site throughout the festival to keep the units safe and secure.

Preparation for the event was crucial, with crew and trailers on site a week in advance to set-up, in precaution for everything to run smoothly, avoiding any setbacks and improving efficiency.
